People these days are more focused on keeping their physical body fit. They tend to ignore the fitness of their mind. The Almighty has made the man superior among all the creatures. Every individual, once in his life suffered from depression. Depression is a debilitating mood disorder with a worldwide prevalence estimated at 4.4%. Prevalence estimates in Pakistan ranges up to 60%. According to WHO data, Pakistan has only 0.19 psychiatrists per 100,000 inhabitants, one of the lowest numbers in WHO eastern Mediterranean Region.
Being an Islamic State, the cases of depression and mental illness are increasing day by day, despite practicing the religious rituals. Then what is the reason of losing control over bad thoughts? Is it because of the differences between you and your lord? Yes, it is because we have a weak connection with The Almighty and that’s why our bad thoughts are taking control all over. Praying 5 times a day makes you close to your Lord, but there is Faith and Tawwakul that makes you positive. By believing in His actions you will start trusting yourself. He says,
“So, surely with hardship comes ease” (94:5)
Trust yourself, this time shall too pass. Nothing is permanent. Enroll yourself in healthy activities. Spare time with your family and close friends and leave everything on Him. He is the master of all planners, trust His plans because at the end you will be blessed with the best.
